Merrium Stidham, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy therapist. She has over three years of experience working with Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, Trauma, and Relationship and Sexual Violence. Merrium’s experience lies in residential and outpatient levels of care addressing substance use, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and interpersonal violence concerns. She also has experience working as a counselor at a flagship university at the collegiate level with young adults and college students experiencing a variety of life transitions.

Specialized Training:

Merrium earned a specialized certificate in substance use counseling and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy. She also has formal training in advocacy support and sexual violence.Merrium has plans to continue her training in Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiecing, and EMDR.

Education:

Merrium earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Kentucky and went on to earn her Masters Degree from University of Georgia in Social Work. Merrium additionally obtained a specialized certification in substance use counseling during her masters program.
